Bernard Purdie, an influential and innovative funk drummer who has played and recorded with James Brown , Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Todd Rundgren and on Steely Dan's Grammy Hall of Fame album "Aja," will be guest artist at the third annual Christmas City Summer Jazz Festival at Bethlehem Municipal Ice Rink. The festival, which only took donations in its first two years, will for the first time charge admission this year.
