He was, after all, present and partially responsible for one of the single best evenings and events of my life, musical or other. The saxman extraordinaire was part of Minneapolis master Prince's NPG band three years ago when they came through town and, after a blistering Saddledome show, reconvened at a small downtown club for an after-party to end all after-parties.
