Charles Bradley is the ultimate soul survivor. The kid raised in a Brooklyn housing project, who endured years of hardship and who moonlighted as a James Brown impersonator, found fame as the so-called "Screaming Eagle of Soul" at the age of 62. He's now 66 and still riding high on the success of his late-in-life debut, 2011's No Time For Dreaming and the 2012 documentary Soul of America , which took Bradley's rags-to-riches story to the world.
